Member Summary
By joining or participating in dojo activities, you agree to follow the dojo's rules and policies.
Membership fees are based on ongoing enrolment, not attendance at individual classes. Missed classes, public holiday closures, and other scheduled non-training days do not entitle members to refunds, credits, or make-up classes unless otherwise determined by the dojo.
1. Definitions
This agreement sets out the rights and responsibilities of members and the dojo.
A member is anyone who has completed the application process, paid the required fees, and been approved by dojo management.
2. Purpose
The dojo exists to promote health, confidence, and community through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
We provide a safe, structured, and supportive environment for training, self-defence, and personal growth.
3. Membership Eligibility
Applicants must agree to these rules.
Persons with contagious diseases or conditions that may place others at risk may not participate.
Members must not belong to, or be affiliated with, antisocial groups or organizations.
Management reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate membership where necessary to protect the safety, integrity, and operation of the dojo.
4. Identification Requirements
The dojo reserves the right to request proof of identity from any member, visitor, or guest.
Failure to provide satisfactory identification may result in refusal of entry or participation.
5. Minors and Guardian Consent
Participants under 18 years of age must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
A parent or legal guardian may be required to complete and sign registration forms, waivers, and other documents.
The dojo reserves the right to request proof of age and proof of the parent or guardian's identity and relationship to the minor.
6. Visitors, Trial Classes, and Seminar Attendees
Visitors, trial participants, seminar attendees, and guests may participate subject to availability and dojo approval.
They must provide required information, complete any required waivers, comply with dojo rules, and participate at their own risk.
7. Fees and Payment
Membership fees and visitor pass fees are payable in advance and are non-refundable.
No refunds or credits will be provided for unused training sessions, missed classes, absences, or partial membership periods.
A one-time non-refundable administration fee of ¥10,000 (plus 10% consumption tax) applies to monthly memberships and long-term visitor passes.
Fees are based on ongoing enrolment and access to the dojo and are not calculated on a per-class basis.
8. Children's Program
Children's Program fees secure a place in a structured class program and are not calculated on a per-class basis.
Classes missed due to illness, injury, travel, school commitments, personal circumstances, or any other absence are not eligible for make-up classes, credits, refunds, or fee reductions.
The dojo's class schedule may be adjusted due to public holidays, special events, competitions, seminars, maintenance, instructor availability, or other operational reasons.
Membership fees remain payable during such periods.
9. Suspension and Cancellation
Membership suspensions may be requested for up to three months per calendar year, in monthly blocks.
Notice of suspension or cancellation must be provided at least one month or four weeks, whichever is greater, before the requested date.
Membership fees remain payable until the suspension or cancellation takes effect.
Suspensions are intended for extended absences and are not a substitute for make-up classes.
10. Member Responsibilities
Members must follow instructor and staff directions, maintain appropriate hygiene, conduct themselves in a safe and respectful manner, and disclose any medical condition or circumstance that may affect safe participation.
11. Privacy, Photography, and Media

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and related activities involve inherent physical risks.
Members and participants train voluntarily and at their own risk.
The dojo is not liable for injury, theft, loss, or damage except in cases of gross negligence or as otherwise required by law.

The dojo may amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time.
